2021 Regional Teachers of the Year honored

TCTA congratulates our five members who were honored as 2021 Regional Teachers of the Year.

• Region 3 Elementary: Tammy Reyes, Vickers Elementary School, Victoria ISD
• Region 5 Secondary: Bill Williamson, C.O. Wilson Middle School, Nederland ISD
• Region 15 Secondary: Allison Peterson, Lake View High School, San Angelo ISD
• Region 17 Elementary: Haley Kirk, Westwind Elementary School, Frenship ISD
• Region 19 Elementary: Pedro Gurrola, Vista Del Sol Elementary School, Socorro ISD

TCTA congratulates member Jo King, who won the 2020 American Chemical Society, Southwest Region High School Teaching Award for her outstanding contributions to chemistry education. King is the Plano West Senior High School AP chemistry team leader in Plano ISD. She has a self-professed passion for AP chemistry and has been teaching chemistry throughout her entire 33-year career.
