Senate committees appointed

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the committee assignments for the 88th Legislative Session. As expected, Sen. Brandon Creighton will serve as chair of the Education Committee, which includes a number of new members. Below are the assignments for the Education Committee, Finance Committee (which will approve the state budget and other legislation involving funding), and State Affairs Committee (which includes public pension funds such as TRS within its jurisdiction).
