House Public Education Committee schedules school discipline bill for next week

The House Public Education Committee bill debate HB 6, a school discipline bill, on March 18. School discipline has been a perennial topic of interest for the committee and its Senate counterpart, and this term is no different. The bill's author, Rep. Jeff Leach (R-Plano), wants to guarantee that "educators have the authority to maintain discipline in their classrooms so they can focus on teaching, not disruptions."
