House committee hears 13th check bill

The House Appropriations Committee met Monday afternoon to consider three bills including SB 7, the 13^th check proposal by Sen. Joan Huffman. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Glenn Rogers in the House. Committee members expressed support for the proposal, with several noting that they hope to be able to approve a cost-of-living adjustment in the near future, however SB 7 was left pending for now.

The House retained its quorum Monday afternoon and was able to meet, with a total of 100 members present.
