This Web site is not for the provision of legal services.
This Web site is intended for the exclusive use and benefit of the members of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA). This Web site is intended as a reference source and shall not constitute legal advice or be considered a substitute for independent legal research and evaluation by a qualified professional. Although the Texas Classroom Teachers Association does provide employment-related legal services to its members, the staff attorneys of TCTA will not enter into an attorney/client relationship by e-mail. E-mail sent to TCTA through the e-mail tag, "webmaster," or in any manner to any e-mail address at the domains registered to TCTA, shall be considered a request for general information from the Association and will not be considered a request for legal advice or counsel from TCTA staff attorneys. Any e-mail directed to TCTA is not encrypted and could be intercepted by persons other than the intended recipient. By submitting e-mail to TCTA, the person submitting the e-mail expressly consents to an unencrypted reply that could be intercepted by persons other than the intended recipient. Members requesting legal services are directed to contact TCTA through our toll-free telephone number. In no event are legal services provided to persons who are not members of TCTA or who were not members of TCTA at the time of an action, omission or occurrence giving rise to the problem for which legal services are requested.
