Nov. 1 is the deadline
Nominations for the TCTA 2007-08 Awards Program are now being accepted. Official rules and nomination forms are available online, and will be mailed to TCTA local affiliate presidents in September. All nominations must be postmarked on or before Nov. 1, 2007.
TCTA presents 11 statewide awards annually to honor those who have made outstanding contributions during the past year to public education, the teaching profession or to TCTA. Nine awards are presented to those outside the teaching profession, and two are given to TCTA members. External awards include: Friend of Education, Administrator of the Year, School Board Trustee of the Year, and Silver Apple media awards. Internal awards are given for Retiree of the Year and Faculty Representative of the Year.
