The Teacher Retirement System administers the TRS pension fund and health
insurance programs for active and retired school employees.
Over the years TCTA has worked with TRS and the legislature to increase benefits for Texas teachers with TCTA initiated improvements ranging from TRS-Care to the Rule of 80. TCTA provides members with current, thorough and accurate information on all of the issues relating to retirement, Social Security and health insurance.
