Draft Document for Removing

Continuously Disruptive Student

To: Principal Smith
Re: Student removal; Section 37.002

Over the past four weeks I have, pursuant to TEC Section 37.001, provided you with numerous written documents describing how Joe/Jane has violated the Student Code of Conduct in my classroom. Today, Joe/Jane again disrupted the class: Joe/Jane interrupted a conversation I was having with another student, intentionally dropped a book on the floor to make a loud sound, and laughed out loud for no apparent reason. See accompanying referrals for these incidents and copies of previous referrals.

Joe/Jane has continuously disrupted my class. Joe/Jane has interfered with my ability to communicate with the students in my class and has interfered with the students' ability to learn. Each time Jane/Joe engages in the misbehavior described in the attached documents, Joe/Jane interrupts other students who are working and I spend class time correcting Jane/Joe's behavior and getting other students back on task. As authorized by TEC Section 37.002(b)(1), I remove Joe/Jane from my class.

Pursuant to the right granted me by Section 37.002(d), this note constitutes notice that I do not want Joe/Jane returned to my classroom.

I will be available at your convenience and at Joe/Jane's parents' convenience for the removal meeting required by TEC Section 37.009.
